We get into Shannon at 9:45 AM. I think we want the 51 bus from the Shannon Airport to the Galway bus station. Fare is 9.50 Euro each.
The bus leaves every hour on the :55 and takes about 2 hours. There is an express bus that only takes an hour and ten minutes, but only leaves every 4 hours, so there's one at 9:30 AM and then again at 1:40 PM. We obviously won't catch that first one, so as long as we catch the 10:55 or 11:55 bus, we'll get to Galway sooner than we would if we waited for the 1:40 express. The 12:55 local gets us in at about the same time as the 1:40 express.

This says we can buy tickets at a self service kiosk for Bus Eireanne in the Main Terminal or on the bus itself. We board the bus right outside the Main Terminal. Some info says its Arrivals stop B. I think we can follow the signs for the 51 bus.
We get dropped off at the bus station which is right near the train station and Eyre Square, basically the city center (cause Europe is awesome). Our hotel, The Galmont, should be just 5 minutes east/northeast of there off Fairgreen Road.
